Disabled Facilities
East Midlands airport does everything possible to assist its disabled customers. The following may be useful:
- disabled passengers should make their airline or travel company fully aware of the disability at the time of booking. This will allow procedures to be put in place.
- There are disabled spaces in the short term car parks. For those passengers using long term parking, transfer coaches are fully accessible.
- There are help points in the car parks, and inside the terminal if assistance is required with luggage, or for any other reason.
- Wheelchairs are available inside the terminal, at the "Reception point for assistance" in the main check in hall.
- There is a Passenger Assistance lounge near Gates 2 and 14, in the Departure lounge.
- All necessary assistance will be given for boarding your aircraft.
- There are disabled toilets throughout the terminal.
- 24 hour first aid is available if required.
- Hard of hearing loops throughout the terminal
East Midland Airport's disability service provider, OCS, will give every assistance required.
There are excellent disabled facilities at all East Midlands Airport Parking locations. Please contact individual car parks for full details.
Passengers who wish to travel straight to the terminal without any need for transfers can take advantage of the excellent East Midlands Valet parking option. Alternatively, the Prestige Parking Car Park is just a very short walk to the terminal.
